Privacy Policy

Harada Oturaq (harada-oturaq.az) is a platform for finding restaurants, browsing menus and booking tables. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it and what rights you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• When you create an account: name, email address, phone number, password (stored encrypted, never in plain text) and, optionally, a profile photo.
• When you book a table: date, time, number of guests, guest names, phone number and any special requests.
• When you write a review: your first and last name, rating, comment and any photos you upload.
• When you use the contact form: first and last name, email, phone and your message.
• When you apply as a restaurant owner: the contact person's name, phone, position and message.
• Favourites: the list of restaurants you save to your favourites.

Information collected automatically

• Your location: if you use the “My location” feature, your browser asks for permission. If you allow it, your coordinates are used only to show nearby restaurants and are not stored in your profile.
• Usage statistics: through Google Analytics we collect anonymous data such as the pages you visit, your device and browser type and your approximate location (city level). If you are signed in, only your internal user number is sent to analytics — never your name or email.
• Browser storage: a sign-in token that keeps you logged in and your chosen language are stored in your browser (localStorage).

2. How we use your information

• to create and manage your account;
• to pass your booking to the restaurant and notify you about its status;
• to publish your reviews on the restaurant page;
• to answer your enquiries and applications;
• to show restaurants near you;
• to analyse and improve how the site works;
• to prevent fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your information for advertising.

3. Who we share information with

• Restaurants: the restaurant you book sees your name, phone number, number of guests, date, time and special request so it can accept the booking.
• Other users: your review (name, rating, comment and photos) is visible to everyone on the restaurant page.
• Google: maps (Google Maps) and statistics (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager). Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
• Payment provider: if you make a payment on the site, your card details are processed directly by the payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store your card details.
• Public authorities: only where required by law.

4. How long we keep information

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Booking history and contact enquiries are kept for as long as needed to provide the service and resolve disputes. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data, except where the law requires us to keep it.

5. How we protect information

All connections to the site use an encrypted channel (HTTPS), passwords are never stored in plain text, and access to the admin panel is limited to authorised people. Even so, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, so never share your password with anyone.

6. Your rights

Under the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Personal Data” you can:

• find out what information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct inaccurate or outdated information;
• ask us to delete your information and your account;
• withdraw your consent at any time.

If you live in the European Union or another country, you may also exercise any additional rights your local law gives you (for example, under the GDPR). You can change most of your profile details yourself in the “Profile Settings” section of your account. For other requests, write to us through the contact page.

7. Children

The site is not intended for people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. We will announce significant changes on the site.
